ADHD As A Difference In Cognition, Not A Disorder: Stephen Tonti at TEDxCMU

I so like this TED talk from Stephen Tonti.  There are many great messages in this for every parent and teacher.  Those with ADHD:

  • can concentrate on things they want to
  • they are exceptionally talented
  • need teachers and parents need to understand their experience, from their point of view
  • realise that medication is not the answer.

Do take a look at Bridges to Success – how to Transform Learning Difficulties, for some great skills to help those with ADHD, whilst maintaining and developing their fabulous skills.

  2. Thanks for your comment Lisa, it is such a better perspective
