Dyslexia behind bars

Today, I was invited by Jackie Hewitt-Main to the launch of her new book Dyslexia behind Bars, which celebrates her 4 year project that started with Chelmsford Prison and has extended out far wider.  I have attached the summary of her report here dyslexiabehindbars.

Jackie is the most extraordinary woman, who like many other Dyslexics, can see different perspectives and possibilities. She has achieved the most exceptional results to improve dyslexia and dramatically reduce re-offending.  She uses some of the visual strategies that are incorporated into Empowering Learning.  I really recommend you read the attached summary and order a copy of her book from Amazon, here is the link, it is an amazing story, full of quantitative and qualitative research findings from over 2000 prisoners.
